2/8/25 Exercise Script

“Good morning / Afternoon. This is ____________. The Altamont Utah Stake is conducting a communication exercise to evaluate our ability to communicate during a (SIMULATED) emergency. The (SIMULATED) emergency is widespread flooding due to rapid snowmelt. This is not an actual emergency. Now that you have been warned, we ask that you use the approved script available at www.aaep.info  and call your family and neighbors within your stewardship. To prevent undue concern or panic, we ask that you do not make calls as part of this exercise, unless you have access to the script. Also, please do not make calls as part of this exercise, after 6pm today. If you do make scripted calls, please report your results to your ward leaders and on www.aaep.info.”

After reading the Script but before ending the call, make sure that the person you are talking to, understands that this is a (SIMULATED) event and not an actual emergency. Also find out if the number you called is the best way to contact them.
